WE LOVE WHAT WE DO. Truly. Deeply. What is it we do? Classic menswear and shoes. There’s probably no other business in the world where so few variables and so few colors can produce so many different results.
As ALKON Group, we have been doing this for 20 years. And in all this time, we’ve never run out of ideas, and we’ve never released a dull collection. Why? Let’s take two simple examples: the jacket and the shoe —objects we wear almost every day, whether out of necessity or joy. No, we don’t sell red suits or purple shoes (at least not yet). And we won’t even get into linings, buttons, or fabrics —our range is endless. What we do is work within the framework of “classic,” pushing boundaries in every direction. We play with dozens of parameters and, in doing so, redefine high style every season. Let us show you. You may never look at your own wardrobe the same again. ● Collar: Width, curve, placement and shape of the notch, termination point—all of which influence the waistline.
● Shoulders: Shape, stitching technique, pitch, slope, padding thickness, padding contour.
● Sleeves: Attachment style, armhole depth, drape, taper, opening circumference.
● Buttonholes: Open or closed, number of working buttons, softness, delicacy, spacing.
● Pockets: Shape and angle of the breast pocket, flap dimensions, corner curvature.
● Interfacing: Whether a canvas is used, material, weight, stiffness or softness, climate compatibility, and fabric match.
● Stitching: Thread type, thickness, color, edge distance, density.
Together, these roughly 50 parameters create a stance, a presence, an expression. And that expression introduces you to the world in the most silent, sophisticated way possible. For us, the perfect jacket is all about balance and harmony. This can only be achieved with about 50 parameters we counted. And the attention we give to detail is what sets us apart in bold, unmistakable lines.
