GDPR Clarification Text

This clarification text has been prepared by Alkon Group, acting as the data controller, in accordance with Article 10 of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”) and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform. The purpose is to inform you regarding the processing purposes, legal grounds, collection methods, data sharing, and your rights under KVKK.

Personal data such as identity information (name, surname) and contact information (email address, phone number) are processed. These personal data are processed through automated methods based on the legal grounds specified in Article 5 of the Law:
● where processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject,
● and where processing is necessary for the establishment or performance of a contract.

Your data will be processed, recorded, stored, retained, and classified for the purposes of:
● Registering you into our system,
● enabling communication with you,
● verifying your information if needed,
● preventing potential risks,
● storing data that must be retained under legal regulations,
● taking the necessary technical and administrative security measures,
● fulfilling our legal obligations before regulatory and supervisory authorities,
● and carrying out legal processes.


The personal data you share may be disclosed to authorized public institutions and organizations, judicial authorities, or law enforcement agencies when required under Article 8 of the GDPR, particularly in cases of public safety or legal disputes. Additionally, it may be shared with our internal business units responsible for commercial activities conducted online, as well as for planning business and marketing strategies, and offering personalized recommendations and promotional activities based on user preferences and behaviors.
